Barry is the first Canadian coauthor in the Chicken Soup for the Soul book series. He has written 15 books and has spoken all across Canada, the USA, London England and the Philippines.

He has shared the stage with: Dr. Phil, Princess Zahra Aga Khan, A sitting Prime Minister of Canada and Helen Lieberman (who helped stopped the Aparthied movement).

Barry was the closing speaker at the prestigious World Volunteer conference (93 countries / 2,700 people)

He is a two time cancer survivor. Stage-4 non-Hodgkins lymphoma (2009) and advanced prostate cancer (2016)

I met Barry Spilchuk many months after my husband died, suddenly, from a brain aneurysm. At the time I was stuck in a stage of my grieving process and needed help to move forward. Barry took me through his Transformations process...it was an experience I will never forget!

I was able to "talk" to my late husband, as though he were sitting right beside me. I talked, yelled, laughed and cried for hours with Barry.

I found tremendous relief in finally being able to talk about so many of the unresolved issues that the sudden and unexpected death of my husband had left in my life.

The most amazing thing about Barry is that he had the ability to respond as if he were my late husband, using the same nicknames my husband had used and making the same comments I had actually heard my late husband make from time to time.

Barry became the stepping stone that I needed to move on to a new phase in my life and I will forever be grateful to him. He has a truly wonderful gift!

Hello Barry - I just had to tell you my thoughts concerning Transformations.

They are as follows: 1) First and foremeost I had to put my trust in you Barry - When I leaned back into your arms I knew I was safe. 2) When you began speaking to me I opened my heart and soul and took in every word you said. 3) The music took me back to those days with Elvis.

The affect was something that I had never experienced before in my life. When you spoke - I felt love like I had never before. I accepted your love and the love of everyone in the room...But something more was happening...

As you know, I use 'The Impossible Dream' lyrics in my sessions. The effect makes my audience belive that they can do anything. While I was in your arms I was open and receiving. As the music grew louder and you spoke of Elvis I was overwhelmed with emotion and a powerful realm of confidence.

As you know I am in the middle of a large project. As I took in all that was happening I could see clearly that I was on the right track. I could see us in production; I could see the film in theaters; I could see myself at the awards shows.

What I am trying to say is - I had a vision that was as real as the moment with me in your arms. God spoke to me and assured me He loved me and that I was special and to hold the course. Elvis spoke to me and told me how proud he was of me. Barry, your love and the love of the entire group penetrated my soul.

What I am also trying to say Barry is... that experience changed my life. I have tried to express that in these words - but words can't really describe those moments that I will cherish for the rest of my life.

I thank you Barry and I want you to know that I love you and will carry our time together in the Transformations experience in my heart for all the days of my life.

You are very special and you are truly a gift from God.

Thank you for giving me a large part of my LIFE back my friend..
